Built in 1900, the James H. Leach Family dairy farm began to accommodate guests in the late 1930's and a boarding trend continued into the 1970's. In 1979, this Dutch Colonial Farmhouse was restored and transformed into the first Bed & Breakfast in Tannersville, NY: The Eggery Inn

The Inn is located atop a beautiful wooded 12 acre mountainside setting.  This Dutch colonial farmhouse has been delightfully restored and welcomes all with an atmosphere of warmth and charm. The glow of the Franklin stove in the Mission style sitting room with its player piano welcomes good company and great conversation.

The inn offers 15 guest rooms and a heavenly mountainous view at an elevation of 2,200 feet; the south lawn's backdrop is graced by 4,000 foot peaks. A spacious wrap-around porch provides an entrance to the inn.

The sitting room's glowing wainscoting and beautiful oak balustrade and stairs lead to the guest rooms on the second floor. Each room showcases charming country décor. The six guest rooms at ground level provide limited access for the physically challenged (call for specifics). A wood- burning Franklin stove, antique player-piano and furnishings of mission oak create a relaxing atmosphere in the parlor, the gathering place for the Inn’s guests. The dining room's handcrafted oak bar, fireplace and period antiques are enhanced by an abundance of indoor plants. One thing that has remained constant since 1900, the Eggery Inn offers year round delight! Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
